Students from across Donegal attended the first day of the AXA Roadsafe Roadshow, an initiative aimed at promoting road safety awareness. The event, organized in partnership with Donegal County Council, took place at a local community center. Over 500 students participated in the event, which included interactive sessions and demonstrations on safe driving practices.
The Roadshow, part of a broader national campaign, focuses on educating young drivers about the risks of road accidents and the importance of responsible driving. Representatives from AXA Roadsafe delivered presentations on key safety topics, including speed limits, alcohol consumption, and vehicle maintenance. Local authorities emphasized the role of education in reducing road fatalities.
This is the first of two days of the event, with the second day scheduled for next week. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to improve road safety in the region, following a series of campaigns in recent years. Donegal County Council has previously partnered with AXA Roadsafe to host similar events, highlighting a continued commitment to community engagement and public safety.
