Irish protesters gathered in Dublin on Monday to demand immediate government action on the climate crisis. The demonstration, organized by environmental groups, focused on the need for stronger emissions reductions and renewable energy investment. Participants marched through the city center, carrying signs that read "Act Now" and "Save Our Planet."
The protest followed a recent report from the Irish Environmental Protection Agency, which warned that the country is on track to exceed its 2030 carbon reduction targets. Activists argued that current policies are insufficient to meet international climate goals. One protester, speaking to reporters, said, "We can't wait for the next government to act. The science is clear, and the time for delay is over."
This is the second major climate protest in Dublin this year. Similar demonstrations took place in March, when activists called for stricter regulations on industrial emissions. The government has not yet announced specific measures in response to the latest protest, but officials have acknowledged the growing public concern over environmental issues.
