The bodies of Biddy O’Brien and Jamie McGinn were discovered at their home in Bray, Co. Wicklow, on Wednesday morning. The couple, both in their 40s, had previously lost two children in a house fire in Clondalkin in March 2017. Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of their deaths.

Biddy O’Brien and Jamie McGinn were the parents of four-year-old Jordan and one-year-old Holly, who died in the 2017 fire. O’Brien had been in a coma following the blaze. Her body was found at their Bray home, while McGinn’s body was also discovered. The exact cause of their deaths remains under investigation.

The couple had previously spoken about the trauma of losing their children. O’Brien had mentioned she would “never get over” the loss. The fire in 2017 killed two young children and left O’Brien with severe injuries. Now, nearly nine years later, the couple has died, prompting a renewed police inquiry into their deaths.
